Workshop for Individuals
Continuing the aviation metaphor, James’ intent is to make participants more self-aware of how their own performance envelop can expand to unlock personal and professional success. Participants will learn how to plot the complexities of life and their desired trajectory in a simple two-axis graph that they can reference when they find themselves in challenging situations. The first discussion and exercise covers the Intellectual Axis. The second pivots to the Emotional Axis. Then it’s time to “Take Flight” (no, not leave!) as individuals enter the final phase of the workshop: Intentionally Pursuing the Double Positive.

Over the course of eight sessions grouped into four phases, participants will learn how to better understand themselves by drawing parallels to an airplane. James’ primary goal is to help them expand their performance envelope. Along the way, they’ll gain a new vocabulary rooted in aviation, with terms like thrust, drag, lift, and gravity—representing the four forces of flight—and how these concepts relate to life.
The ultimate goal: a life of purpose, joy, and strength.
